Basel Katt
Head of the Information Security unit, department of Information Security and Communication Technology (IIK) at NTNU, and Technical Leader of the Norwegian Cyber Range (NCR).
Basel Katt established and led the System Security Research Group (S2G) from 2019 to 2021. Basel has a PhD from the University of Innsbruck, Austria, and an M.Sc. from the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany.
Basel's main research interests are in cyber ranges, SW security, security assurance, model-driven security, access and usage control, and security monitoring.

Cyber Range Scenarios and Opportunities
A Cyber Range is an arena where security education and security testing are made feasible, scalable, and available. During this talk Basel will present some of the research results obtained in the area of Cyber Range scenario modelling, analysis, and automation.
Basel, in his talk, will also discuss the various opportunities and capabilities the Norwegian Cyber Range offer for training, education, exercise execution and security testing.
